Upcoming Events
The Under 7s will take part in the Indoor Hurling Blitz this coming Saturday 6th of February. All those involved will be notified during the week with the arrangements. Best of luck to our two teams, we hope that they have an enjoyable day.
The Under 13s will be in action in the 7-a-side floodlit Astro-Turf hurling blitzes that will begin on Friday 5th February for four consecutive Fridays. Players will be contacted during the week with details.
Eastern Board Fixtures
Following on from the Eastern Board delegates meeting on Thursday last, here are the draws made involving Cnoc Síon.
In Under 11 Ground Hurling we are in a group with Portlaw & Ballygunner. The winner of the round robin series of games will progress to the Eastern Final on May 8th.
In the Under 12 competition we are drawn against Roanmore and if successful we will play De La Salle in the Eastern Semi-Final.
In the Under 14 Feile competition we have drawn De La Salle in the Quarter-Final and if successful we will play Roanmore in the Semi-Final.
In the Under 14 Eastern Championship again we have drawn De La Salle in what will be a Semi-Final.
Training Times
Age 5-6 – 12 noon to 1pm.
Age 7-8 – 11am to 12 noon.
Age 9-10 – 1pm to 2pm
Under 12s – 6-7pm (Monday & Thursday)
Under 14s 6 – 7pm (Tuesdays & Thursdays)
All the sessions will take place on the Astro-turf pitch & Hurling Alley.
Membership
Membership is now due and can be left behind the bar or contact Paul Fanning. Deadline for membership is 31st March. I ask everyone to make the effort to pay as soon as possible. Membership rates are as follows: Hurling & Football – €50; Family – €50; Student €20; and Social Membership – €15.
Primary School Hurling
Training for Mount Sion School under 11 and 13 teams continues on Tuesday at 3pm to 4.10pm on the Astro Turf and Ball Alley.
Yard hurling leagues are back in full swing this week. Monday-3rd Class; Tuesday 2nd Class; Wednesday 4th & 5th Class; and Thursday 6th Class.
