Under 8s
Under 10s
The under 10s were invited to play in two GO Games matches at half time of the National Hurling League Game between Waterford and Dublin last Sunday against Lismore. It was great to see so many young boys take part, and it was enjoyed by all. On the Blue team were J. Fanning, D. Quinn, T. McLawrence, L. O’Brien, P.J. Fanning, J. Meaney, P.J. Murphy, J. Roche, B. Frisby, and S. Brophy. The players on the White team were S. Hoban, E. Power, C. Meaney, O. Daly, C. Costello, S. Flynn, A. Kirwan, B. Wall, R. O’Connor and J Gleeson. Just a special thanks to all the mentors for their time and effort on the day.
Under 12
The under 12s played a challenge game against Lismore last Sunday morning. It was a good workout and entertaining game with Lismore coming out the winners. Our thanks to Lismore for travelling down. Under 12 training continues on Thursday at 6pm sharp.
Under 13
The under 13s took part in the third evening of the Astro Turf Blitz on Friday last playing 4 games losing out to only Scared Heart. Again the squad put in some great performances and really enjoyed themselves. Next Friday will be the last week and all the players will be informed once the fixtures arrive.
Training Times
Age 5-6 – 12 noon to 1pm (Saturdays);
Age 7-8 – 11am to 12 noon (Saturdays);
Anyone born in 1999/2000 (Age 9-10) – 1pm to 2pm (Saturdays);
Under 12s – 6-7pm (Thursday);
Under 14s 6-7pm (Tuesdays & Thursdays).
All the sessions will take place on the Astro-turf pitch & Hurling Alley.
Membership
Membership is now due and can be left behind the bar or contact Paul Fanning. Deadline for membership is 31st March. I ask everyone to make the effort to pay as soon as possible. Membership rates are as follows: Hurling & Football – €50; Family – €50; Student €20; and Social Membership – €15.
Foundation Course
There will be a foundation course run in Mount Sion on Friday March 5th from 6.30pm to 9.30pm and on Saturday 6th March at 10am to 2pm. Anyone wishing to attend should contact Peter Walsh or email me.

Saturday 20th February – Minor Football Championship -Mount Sion 4-3 Kilmacthomas 3-7.
Fixtures
Under 21 Football Championship v Tramore in Carrickbeg on Friday 26th at 7.30pm.
Minor Football Championship v Butlerstown in Mount Sion on Sunday 28th at 11.30am.
Primary School Hurling
Training for Mount Sion School under 11 and 13 teams continues on Tuesday at 3pm to 4.10pm on the Astro Turf and Ball Alley.
Yard hurling leagues continues this week. Monday-3rd Class; Tuesday 2nd Class; Wednesday 4th & 5th Class; and Thursday 6th Class.
