Mount Sion Gaa Club Notes
Under 7
Our first hurling for the year began with our young Under 7 team who travelled to Ballygunner to take part in a round of blitz games. It was a very good morning of games with Mount Sion taking on other teams from Sacred Heart, Roanmore, De La Salle, Passage and the hosts Ballygunner. We had two teams involved and there were some great goals scored and team play throughout. Keep up the hard work and keep training and listening to your mentors.
Here are the boys who took part: Cormac Dunphy, Davin Marshall, Harry Colbert, Jack Cowman, Tommy Walsh, Dylan Ryan, Sam O’Byrne-Russell, Daniel Butler, Cameron O’Neill, Lee Flanagan, James Lambert, Conor Walsh, Shane Ryan, Jake Mars, Tom Coughlan, Ross Byrne, Jared O’Keeffe and Ben Hennessey. Pictures of the morning are on the website! Well done again to all involved. On Saturday 18th February our Under 8s will also take part in the blitz in Ballygunner from 10am to 12pm. Best of luck.
Adult Presentation Night
Last Saturday night we held a very successful club night with the presenting of the medals to the Junior Hurlers & Footballers and Minor Footballers. A great night was enjoyed by everyone with Lebowski providing great live music on the night. A special word of thanks to all those who helped organise it and helped out on the night. Also well done to all those who received their medals.

Get well soon to Darren Flanagan who has spent a spell in hospital over the last few weeks. Also to Richie Roche who broke his jaw over the weekend. We wish him well with the operation on Monday and hope to see ye both back in the club soon.
