Mount Sion Gaa Club Notes

Presentation Night

It was the turn of the Under 13 to 16 age groups to have their awards night last Monday, well done to Mikey Daykin who won the Mick Healy award for Overall Hurler of the Year and Under 16 Player of the Year.

Jack Whelan was Under 15 Player of the Year , while the Under 14 award went to James Ogundare with Jake Maloney getting the nod for Under 13 .

Evan McGrath, Johnny Flynn, Conor Quinn, Jordan Hutchinson, Ben Flanagan, Mikey Daykin, Alan Kirwan and PJ Murphy received recognition for representing Waterford in Development Squads and the Primary Game , while the Under 13s received their Eastern medals .

Thanks to Life President Dick Roche and 2013 Club Captain Kenny Stafford for presenting the awards on the night.

Christmas Raffle

There’s still time to get tickets for this years Christmas raffle which takes place next Sunday 22nd December at 6pm in the club, the prizes are as follows

1). 2 Tickets to the All Ireland Hurling Final plus €300 spending money.

2). 2 Tickets to Munster v Edinburgh, Thomond Park on 17th – 19th January plus €200 spending money.

3). 2 Tickets to Tramore Race Meeting, New Years Day plus €100 spending money.

We will also be having our internal draw for all our Deise Draw members on the night.

All monies raised from the raffle go back into the club.

Last Man Standing

Well done to our bar manager Michael Ryan who finally came out the winner in a very close run contest.

Thanks to everyone who supported this competition and we should have a new one up and running in the New Year, keep an eye on the website for details.

Darts & Cards

Darts and Cards for club members. Come along and join in the fun. Darts takes place every Thursday night with Cards on Friday nights, both starting around 10pm. Great prizes on offer!! All Club Members are welcome.
