Mount Sion Gaa Club Notes

Under 7’s

We fielded two teams in the Ballygunner indoor Hurling blitz on Saturday morning , well done to all our young Hurlers  who played their hearts out and really enjoyed the experience , the panels for the two teams were Evan Flanagan , John Griffin , Erin Kennedy ,Stuart Priestnall , Bobby Costello , Bradley Penkert , Josh Penkert-Burke , Donnacha Flannery , Calvin Martin , Aaron Coughlan , Tadgh Corcoran , Brandon Shiyla , Conor Foran , Tommy Kennedy , Kipras Gerikas and Michael Stevenson ,.

Minor Football

Unfortunately our first match had to be called off on Saturday due to an unplayable pitch after all the bad weather , please note there has been a fixture change for our Round 2 match against Naomh Declain Thoir which will now be played on Saturday 22nd February in Kilmacthomas at 3pm .

National League

Best of luck to the Waterford Senior Hurlers who get their National League campaign underway against Tipperary in Thurles on Saturday , we have a number of players involved on the panel and hopefully it’ll be a winning start under the lights .

Last Man Standing

We lost quite a few players this week including two previous winners with the two Manchester teams and Sunderland letting down a lot of people ! Check out the updated table on the website.

Membership

The annual subscriptions are now due for the 2014 season , fees can be paid behind the bar as usual and need to be sent in as soon as possible, all membership rates are available on the membership page on the club website or you can contact Club Registrar Paul Fanning .

Darts & Cards

Darts and Cards for club members. Come along and join in the fun. Darts takes place every Thursday night with Cards on Friday nights, both starting around 10pm. Great prizes on offer!! All Club Members are welcome.
