Mount Sion GAA Club Notes
Minor Football
In the second round of the Minor Football championship we faced Ferrybank at home on Saturday last on a blustery Brothers pitch , we got off to the perfect start with a real poachers goal from Conor Malone quickly followed by two points from the industrious Conor Butler and a point from Mikey Daykin before the visitors responded with a goal of their own , another Daykin point and a couple of Ferrybank points left us leading 1-4 to 1-2 at the break. In the second half despite some nice interplay and passing football we just could’nt convert our chances and a solitary Conor Malone point was our only return for all the hard work and pressure leaving the final score at 2-5 to 1-5 to the visitors , next up is St Marys in two weeks time .Senior Hurling
