Mount Sion GAA Club Notes
Minor Hurling
Cnoc Sion 2-14
Cois Bhride 0-20
The Minors started their campaign on Wednesday last with the long journey to Tallow to face Cois Bhride, they took a while to get into the game and the score going into the break was 0-10 to 0-3 in Cois Bhride’s favour , in the second half the lads kicked up a gear and with Mikey Daykin back on scoring form the sides were soon level, both sides exchanged points from then on in until the final whistle saw the match end in a draw at 2-14 to 0-20, thanks to everyone who made the long journey to support the team and well done to the lads on a battling performance to get back in the game, next game is De La Salle in the club on 16th July.Junior Hurling
Cnoc Sion 0-16
Ballygunner 0-15
After a break of a few weeks the Juniors resumed their Championship last week with a trip to Ballygunner, while the game might not have been a classic the result was all that mattered with the lads securing the victory by a point, good performances on the night from Darren Finn and Jess Kehoe, get well soon to young star Cian O Regan who picked up a nasty injury in the game, next match is a home tie with Roanmore on Thursday.Croke Park Tour
Our own Tony Browne will take the Legends tour of Croke Park on Saturday next at 12pm and unlike Garth Brooks the residents won’t be complaining about this particular legend appearing at headquarters !
