Mount Sion GAA Club Notes

Juvenile Presentation

Saturday last saw our future stars from age 4 to 11 receive all the medals that they won during the year in various tournaments and competitions, there was a great turnout from all the age groups and thanks to everyone who came along on the day and to the ladies who put on the usual great spread also thanks to Hasbro for kindly donating the prizes on the day.

Waterford GAA Awards

The organising committee of the Ken McGrath All Star Challenge were awarded with a special merit award by the County Board on Friday night last in Dungarvan, well done to all involved in what is still being talked about as one of the best nights in recent times in the club.

Get Well Soon

Best wishes to John “Jockser” McGrath who is recovering in Kilcreen after a knee operation , Jockser is one of the great characters in the club and everyone wishes him well in his recovery.

Gym

Could all users of the Gym please return the key when they’re finished , the keys are going missing a lot lately and as this means that some members are not able to get to use the facility, and if you find any keys please hand them into the bar, thanks.

Christmas Raffle

This year’s Christmas raffle takes place on Sunday the 21st of December and everyone should have their tickets by now, if anyone requires more tickets they’re available behind the bar.

New Years Eve Dinner Dance

Tables are still available for the New Years Eve Dinner dance being held in the club so why not get together with friends and family for what promises to be a great way to ring in 2015, please note tickets need to be paid for by December 16th and if people can’t attend please let Tina know as soon as possible ,music is by No Hot Ashes and tickets priced at 30 euro are available behind the bar.

Deise Draw

There is one more Deise draw left before Christmas and it takes place on Monday the 22nd of December and hopefully some of our members might be getting an early present !Tickets are still available for the final draw of the year from Josie Evans or from the bar. Please contact Josie Evans (087-0686700) to join and more importantly to make sure you are in with a chance to scoop the top prize of €10,000!!! . Tickets are €10 per month for nine months. You can either pay up front or per month by leaving the money behind the bar. 70% of the money raised will go directly back to Mount Sion. Best of luck to all our ticketholders!

Annual St. Stephen’s Day Quiz

The Annual Gents Quiz will take place on St Stephen’s Day at 3.30pm, this is a seasonal tradition in the club and will hopefully be well attended as usual.

Darts & Cards

Darts and Cards for club members. Come along and join in the fun. Darts takes place every Thursday night with Cards on Friday nights, both starting around 10pm. Great prizes on offer!! All Club Members are welcome.
