Mount Sion GAA Club Notes

Fixtures

It might still seem like a long way away but the times and dates for our first two matches in the Senior Championship were announced during the week, first up on Saturday May 2nd at 7pm we take on local rivals Roanmore and then just over a week later on Sunday May 10th Sion take on newly promoted Cappoquin at 3.30pm in Fraher field.

National Hurling League

The Waterford senior hurlers got their National League off to a start on Saturday night last with a well earned draw away to Limerick, Sion had Austin Gleeson impressing at centre back and it was good to see Martin O Neill  getting a run also, next game is in Fraher Field next weekend against Laois.

Deise Draw

The 2015 Deise Draw is only around the corner! Support your club and be in a chance to win 10K and loads of other prizes! More details to come in the following weeks !

First Aid Course

There is a Sports First Aid & Rehabilitation course on in the club on the 28th Feb & 1st March over two days , times are 9am to 5pm both days. The course is  by Lifesavers Training and the module will be given by Michael Grant physio.Cost is €130 and more info can be found on http://www.lifesaverstraining.ie

Last Man Standing

No Last Man Standing this week due to the cup games , the action returns for the players that are left next weekend, don’t forget to have your team into Tina by Thursday  and the updated table can be checked on the website !

Waterford GAA Club Season Ticket

Membership

Its that time of the year again and annual subscriptions are now due for the 2015 season , fees can be paid behind the bar as usual and need to be sent in as soon as possible, all membership rates are available on the membership page on the club website or you can contact Club Registrar Paul Fanning .

Events

We now have the full range of sports channels available in the bar with BT Sports the latest addition to the range, so from GAA to the Premier League and Six Nations rugby why not call up and enjoy the excitement  in the comfortable and warm surroundings of our club bar!

Darts & Cards

Darts and Cards for everyone. Come along and join in the fun. Darts takes place every Thursday night with Cards on Friday nights, both starting around 10pm. Great prizes on offer!! All are welcome both members and non-members !
