Mount Sion GAA Club Notes
Munster Final
Commiserations to the Waterford Senior Hurlers as they lost out to Tipperary in the Munster Final today, things just didn’t go right on the day but at least they’re still in the All Ireland series with a quarter final against Dublin to come in a few weeks.
Under 13’s
It was a busy week for the Under 13’s as they got their City league off to a great start with two wins in the space of three days, first game was against Roanmore in the club on Wednesday which turned out to be quite the goalfest with Timmy running out top scorer in a 6-00 to 2-05 scoreline, Saturday saw this young team make the short trip out to a wet and windy Tramore where they were put under serious pressure by the home side but for the heroics of Scott Ryan in the goal keeping the Seasiders at bay and more good work from Timmy and the rest of the young forward line Sion ran out winners 3-08 to 1-04, well done lads on such a great start to the campaign.Junior Hurling
Following last week’s first defeat of the campaign the Juniors were hoping to get things back on track against Fenor in Roanmore on Friday night last, from the off Sion weren’t their usual selves and the county men capitalised on this to go into an eleven point lead at the break, despite a couple of substitutions going into the second half Sion never really got into their stride and Fenor ran out winners on a scoreline of 3-14 to 1-10, next game is against Ballydurn on Friday.Cul Camps
