Mount Sion GAA Club Notes
Senior Championship
The fourth round of the Senior Championship took place in Fraher Field against Abbeyside on Saturday night last, in a tight first half there were just a couple of points between the sides at all times with Abbeyside going down to 14 men after a challenge on Austin Gleeson which left the County star needing treatment before going back on , half time score Cnoc Sion 0-06 Abbeyside 0-8 , the second half saw more of the same and when Gleeson himself saw the line for a dubious second yellow Sion looked in trouble, but it’s time like these when you need strong characters in your team and up stepped Evan Curran just in his first full year at senior and he put Abbeyside to the sword netting 3-04 in the process , final score Cnoc Sion 3-18 Abbeyside 1- 16 , there’s now a quick turnaround to the last group game against Tallow on Sunday in Leamybrien.Under 16 Championship
