It’s been a busy couple of weeks in the club for new arrivals with congratulations going to Maura and Fionn O’Brien on the birth of their daughter Erin recently, best wishes from all your friends in Mount Sion.
National Hurling League
The National Hurling League returns next Sunday when Waterford travel to Nowlan Park to take on old rivals Kilkenny, best of luck to all involved and don’t forget if you can’t make it to the Marble city the game will be on the big screen in the club, throw in at 2pm.
Membership
It’s that time of year again when membership comes up for renewal, as a club we are very competitive with our rates and would ask all our members to make the effort to pay as soon as they can, rates can be found on the membership page on the website.
New Darts League
The Mount Sion Darts league will return for 2017 on Thursday February 23rd, as last year it will be un on a league format with a finals night sometime before summer, there will be a number of cash prizes wihile proceeds will go to the club, anyone interested in taking part can contact organiser Kenny Stafford on 087 6161222, closing date for entries is Friday February 17th.
Mount Sion Clubhouse
Our club house is the perfect venue for all your needs, only recently it made it into a list of the ten most unusual places in Ireland to have your wedding ! If you have a family event coming up we can cater for all size parties from small private events to large gatherings, we have a spacious function room with private bar available for hire for all occasions including Birthdays, Christenings, Weddings, Confirmations, Communions, etc, please contact our Bar Manager Michael Ryan for more information on 051-372648 or call up and see him
For a post match drink or chat or to watch the latest sporting event on the big screen we have all the Sports channels available in our spacious bar where on Thursday nights it’s Darts night , on Fridays we have cards which are open to all and there are great prizes on offer, check out our website for more info and photos.
