Mount Sion GAA Club Notes
Golf Classic
The 2017 Golf classic took place on Friday June 2nd in Waterford Golf Club and as in previous years there was a great turnout on the day thanks to the enthuasism and committment of the organising committee, special thanks to our main sponsors on the day Henry Denny and Son and to everyone who sponsored a team and to all our team and tee box sponsors, results and winners will be posted shortly on the page on the website.Ballyduff Tournament
Our Under 10’s made it through to the second day of the prestigious Ballyduff Upper tournament on Saturday last and in their first game game came up against the highly fancied Holy Cross team who proved too strong on the day leaving our lads in the plate semi final against Sarsfields, in a tight game extra time was needed to seperate the teams and Sion were just pipped at the post in a nailbiting finish, well done to all our boys on the day and to Pugs, Pat and Aaron for all their hard work over the year.Ladies Football
Best of luck to our Ladies Footballers who play their first competitive game of 2017 as they take part in the Mary Walsh charity competition in Modeligo on Monday June 5th, the girls have been training hard all year and everyone in the club wishes them the best as they finally get their season underway.Senior Championship
