Mount Sion GAA Club Notes
Under 16’s
The Under 16 Championship got underway on Wednesday night last in a rain soaked McGinn park where Sion took on Ballygunner, on a bad night for hurling the hosts adapted better to the conditions and ran out comfortable winners to get their campaign off to the right start, the lads are back in action on Wednesday night when they welcome Abbeyside to the club.Under 11’s
The U11’s made to trip up to Celbridge in Kildare for their annual tournament where we were grouped with Na Fianna from Dublin and Eire Og Corrachoill from Kildare, first up for the lads was Na Fianna where the lads played some fantastic hurling to overcome the Dublin outfit, we then faced Eire Og Corrachoill where the boys produced their best hurling of the day again winning comfortably in doing so qualifying them for the tournament semi final where they came up against a very strong outfit in Kilmacud Crokes of Dublin losing out by a couple of scores in a tight game, a great day was had by all and thanks to everyone who helped out on the day.Behind the Ball
Supervalu Kilbarry are running a new promotion called Behind the Ball and they are going to donate some gear to one of three clubs, all you have to do is insert a voucher received after €20 spend in store, please spread the word to family and friends to help get some gear for our Juvenile club.Cul Camps
