The Senior Hurling Championship returned on Saturday last against Passage in Walsh Park and the break of nearly six months didn’t help either teams in a game that won’t live long in the memory, a dour first half in which both teams struggled to find any form saw Passage get the upper hand when they got two goals early and late in the half while Sion desperately tried to get any rhythm going, half time score Cnoc Sion 0-04 Passage 2-04, the second half showed some positives for Sion as they battled to get back in the game but Passage were too far ahead and the game ended in a five point win for the men from the fishing village, we now regroup and a good result against Portlaw next weekend is imperative if Sion are to have any hopes of progressing to the knockout stages.
