Mount Sion GAA Club Notes
Under 16 Football
It was a disappointing day for the Under 16’s as they just narrowly lost out to Ferrybank in the Div 4 football final in Walsh Park on Sunday last, having been unbeaten on the way to the final hopes were high for this team and despite being down to 11 men early in the second half and looking likely to be overwhelmed by Ferrybank’s strong runnng brand of football a screamer of a goal from Ben Frisby brought Sion to within a point, ufortunately this was to be Sion’s last score of the game but they made Ferrybank fight hard for their two point win showing some of the committment and drive that helped get them to the final in the first place, final score Cnoc Sion 1-04 Ferrybank 1-06, well done to all involved as they now concentrate on the upcoming Hurling Championship.Camogie
