Mount Sion GAA Club Notes
Senior League
Cnoc Sion 2-24
An Rinn 0-17
With the Championship returning next week the Seniors wrapped up their preparations with a comprehensive victory over An Rinn in the club on Saturday last, the result of the game was never in doubt from early on as Sion racked started very well and built up a commanding lead always having a comfortable cushion between themselves and the opposition finishing out the game on a 2-24 to 0-17 scoreline, there were some good performances all round the pitch which will hopefully carry on into next week’s game against Lismore.Junior Hurling
Both Junior teams returned to action after a long hiatus last week and there were mixed fortunes on the results front, the Junior B’s welcomed De La Salle to the club on Thursday night and despite missing a number of key players were in the game until the final few minutes when the opposition finally got on top and finished out the game on a scoreline of 3-05 to 2-15, the Junior A’s took on Ballygunner on Friday night and dominated throughout the game scoring a very respectable 3-21 to 1-10, well done to all involved.Minor Football
The Minor footballers ended their campaign during the week when they lost out The Nire at the quarter final stage, this was an excellent achievement for these lads to go so far in this competition and credit is due to Pat Kelly and his team for the dedication and committment shown, next up is the Hurling Championship on 3rd July.Paddy Murphy Tournament
