Danny Bowe Tournament
The inauguaral Danny Bowe Camogie tournament took place in the club on Saturday last and a huge crowd gathered in memory of a great clubman for both camogie and hurling who is huge personality is still sadly missed, the winners of Under 8 trophy were Abbeyside with Butlerstown taking the Under8 shield,Mooncoin won the Under12 trophy final and our own Mount Sion girls won the Under12 shield, a huge thank you to everyone for making it a fantastic day and one us as a club and the Bowe family will remember for a long time.There were roughly 180 girls taking part in this tournament so difficult to name them all but huge thanks and congratulations to all for participating, a massive thanks to Aimee Kennedy for her trojan work on the superb programmes and all our signage on the day, Michael in the bar for letting us use the space, Peter Walsh and Austin Gleeson for their time, the sponsors of the day Mean Bean Coffee, Michael Grant physical therapy/sports injury clinic and Fidel Astro gardening, last but not least the Bowe family for letting us make this special day happen.
Minor Hurling

Naomh Carthage 2-19
The minors were out after the camogie on Saturday and another big crowd saw them taking on Naomh Carthage in the club, this wasn’t a repeat of the previous game in the league section which Sion won comfortably with a much improved performance from the Lismore outfit who matched us every step of the way bringing the game into extra time in which Sion were finally able to overcome the dogged opposition to finish four point winners, final score Cnoc Sion 2-23 Naomh Carthage 2-19, the games are coming fast now in the knockout stage with the semi final pencilled in for next weekend details to be confirmed.Under 12 Football
A young team of Under 12’s beat Clan na Gael in the football championship on Friday last continuing on the good form they brought from the hurling championship, the final game is on Monday week against Gaultier.Presentation
Special thanks to the O’Regan family who recently made a presentation to the club of €500 the proceeds of the sale of a pup which they generously donated to the club, well done to a committed Mount Sion family for such a kind gesture.Under 14 Championship
The Under 14’s are playing the County Semi final in Clonea Power on Monday night against Abbeyside at 6-15pm, a big support for this much improved team would be appreciated as Abbeyside will travel in numbers also.Fixtures

Deise Draw
Tickets for September’s draw are now available from behind the bar and all the usual sources, we had two winners in August and hopefully we’ll have some more before this year’s draw finishes.Mount Sion Clubhouse
