Mount Sion GAA Club Notes
Senior League
Cnoc Sion 0-11
De La Salle 1-18
The Seniors suffered their first defeat of this year’s league campaign against De La Salle on Saturday last in a fixture that was brought forwrd due to Waterford’s involvement in the League final, while the result might not have been ideal there were many positives about the display and all eyes now turn to next week’s Championship game against Roanmore in Walsh Park.Ladies Football
Our Under 16 Ladies Footballers welcomed Ballysaggart to the club on Saturday morning last and were unlucky to be just edged out by the visitors in a high scoring game, the girls were delighted with this display with some big improvements on show in all areas around the pitch, the league ill continue in the next few weeks with training still on Fridays at 6-45 in the club with new players always welcome.Camogie
This will be our last Monday in Carrickpherish Hall for our Under 8/10’s as we are moving back up to the Astroturf in Mount Sion on the 8th of April from 6-7pm, the u14’s continue to train on Monday and Friday 6-7pm on the school pitch in the club. The U14s will be taking part in the Feile next Saturday 6th in Gaultier, best of luck to the girls and their coaches.
Huge congratulations to our player Lauren O’Sullivan who made the U12 county team recently, this is a great achievement and hopefully the first of many Mount Sion girls to represent the county.
Well done to Grace Brennan, Avea Mulrooney and Gracie Atkins also for making the development squad team, huge achievements for all the girls.
