Mount Sion GAA Club Notes
Munster Championship
While the result might not have gone the right way on the pitch in Walsh Park with Paraic Fanning’s Waterford side losing out by the bare margin the club played an important part in the smooth running of the day with parking and the full facilities being availed of by patrons from both Counties, big thanks to everyone who helped make the day a success from Michael and his team to the members and players who volunteered to ensure the smooth running of such a big operation, with Waterford hosting Limerick in three weeks time the club will be delighted to get as much help on the day as possible.Senior League
Cnoc Sion 2-14
Roanmore 1-11
The Senior League resumed on Saturday evening last in Cleaboy against near neighbours Roanmore who got off to the quicker start having the better of the play in the first half capping it off when they bundled the ball over the line to go into the break a point ahead, half time score 1-04 to 0-06, Sion upped their game in the second and gradually took control netting two goals in quick succession to ease to a six point victory, final score Cnoc Sion 2-14 Roanmore 1-11.Junior Football
The Junior footballers continued their good run with a 4-13 to 1-11 win over Ferrybank in the club showing that goals really do win games, next game is scheduled for a few weeks.School Field
It has come to our attention that dogs are being walked on the school field recently, we would like to remind everyone that for the health and safety of our players and everyone using the facilities dog walking is not permitted under any circumstances on our pitches and we will have signs going up to that effect in the coming weeks.Fixtures
