Mount Sion GAA Club Notes

Minor Hurling

The group stages of the Minor Hurling Championship concluded on Sunday morning when defending champions Ballygunner were the visitors to the club and despite a good first half showing by Sion the opposition proved too strong in the second half running out winners in the end, following the conclusion of the group stages the next step will be the knockout phase where Kenny and his team will be hoping for an extended run.

Junior Football

The junior footballers are once more going well in the Championship and after last week’s comprehensive win over St Mollerans in the club they will face Ballyduff Lower in Fenor Friday at 6pm with a place in the Eastern Final at stake, best wishes to all involved.

Senior Championship

The Senior Championship semi final against De La Salle has been scheduled for Sunday September 29th in Walsh Park at 5-15pm.

Camogie

Training for ages 4-10 tomorrow (Monday) in the AstroTurf from 6 to 7pm with the older girls  back training after their break from 6-7 also.
Congratulations to our very own Grace Brennan and Gracie Atkins who were the first Mount Sion girls to represent Waterford in the U14 All Ireland blitz in Croke Park on Saturday last, we are all very proud that Mount Sion camogie is on the map.
Our second Danny Bowe memorial tournament is taking place on Saturday 14th of September at 11am. We are hoping for as much support as possible for it and all are welcome.

Circuit Training

As part of our Health and Wellbeing initiative there will be a Circuit class starting in Mount Sion Hall from Tuesday 24th Sept for five weeks, time  7pm -8pm, class is open to all over 18’s , cost €5

Junior Football Semi Final V Ballyduff Lower in Fenor at 6pm

Danny Bowe Camogie Tournament in Mount Sion from 11am

Sunday

Under 13 Hurling Knockout V Naomh Brid in Mount Sion at 11am.

 

Mount Sion Clubhouse

Our club house is the perfect venue for all your needs.
