Under 19 Hurling

Ballygunner 0-14

It was heartbreak at the semi final stage once again as the Under 19’s just narrowly missed out against Ballygunner on Sunday last in St. Saviour’s, Sion started out brightly as they brought the game to Ballygunner and went ahead early in the first half when the ball missed everyone and rattled to the back of the net following a free, the sides were level for most of the second half with the Sion backline holding firm against their attacks before Ballygunner drew away for the first time in the game to seal a hard fought  three point victory, the players and mentors can hold their heads high after this game with some fine individual performances and players going toe to toe with their opponents only to narrowly miss out in the end.

 

Health and Wellbeing

This course takes place tomorrow (Monday) and will take approximately three and a half hours, please contact Michael Power to book a place as soon as possible..

Annual General Meeting

The AGM of the club has been set for Saturday December 14th at 4-30pm, it has been a busy year with many developments and we would request as many members as possible to attend.

Bingo

Bingo continues in the club this Thursday night, doors at 7 and eyes down at 8! Please see the poster for more details.

Circuit Training

As part of our health and well being programme Circuit Training with Mikey Daykin and Evan Curran continues in the downstairs hall in Mount Sion Centre on Tuesday @7pm. €5 a class. Please confirm your name and book a place with Michael Power on 086 175 8798. Over 18’s only.

Mount Sion Clubhouse

Our club house is the perfect venue for all your needs. If you have a family event coming up we can cater for all size parties from small private events to large gatherings, we have a spacious function room with private bar available for hire for all occasions including Birthdays, Christenings, Weddings, Confirmations, Communions, etc, please contact our Bar Manager Michael Ryan for more information on 051-372648 or call up and see him.
