Mount Sion GAA Club Notes
New Sponsor
We are delighted to announce that we have entered a multi-year sponsorship agreement with energy company Pinergy. As well as being our main sponsors we have signed an agreement which has huge potential benefits for the club. For every household that switches its electricity supply over to Pinergy under the Mount Sion partnership deal the club will receive a set amount. Also if a business account switches to Pinergy under the same deal, then their club will directly receive a certain percentage of that business’ annual bill back for every year they remain with Pinergy.
This has a huge financial potential for the club in these uncertain times so we would ask all club members to give it their consideration and spread the word far and wide. The deal is not just for Mount Sion Club members, as long as the sign up is done through the Mount Sion deal then the club benefits.
We look forward to working together to building this partnership across all our teams and age grades over the next few years.
My Life Challenge
The VHI mylife challenge finished this week and while we weren’t in the top rankings we had one of the best participation of all the clubs involved, thanks to everyone who got involved and keep an eye out for our next health and wellbeing challenges coming up.Waterford App
Waterford GAA released their new app during the week on both iOS and Android platforms, results and upcoming fixtures can be obtained by favouriting Mount Sion GAA and all club games are available, just search Waterford GAA in the app store and download from there.
Last Man Standing
We’re still going in this years Last man Standing with just over forty players left !Check out the updated page on the website and don’t forget your teams into Owen in plenty of time.Deise Draw
The 2020 Deise Draw is now scheduled to start on August 26th and we hope all our members will sign up once more as this year especially the revenue stream for the club will be much needed. We have been also advised that there will still be the standard six draws. Prize money hopefully won’t be affected but may need to slightly adjusted if numbers are a lot lower than last year.Development
The Dressing room building revamp is continuing following the break due to Covid, driveway to be tarmacced while the astro turf on the goals of the main pitch are complete. We would ask those that have not yet paid the annual membership of €150 which includes entry in to the Deise Draw to do so please.
We would ask as many members as possible to join the Development Donation scheme, at this current time our only revenue is the scheme and membership. Anyone wishing to pay membership or join the Donation Scheme please contact any committee member.
