Mount Sion GAA Club Notes
Under 13 Hurling
Congratulations to our Under 13 hurlers who were the winners of the Bord na nOg Div 1 title on Monday last with an excellent display against Ballygunner in the final in Walsh Park, a brilliant campaign all round from a very well drilled team culminating in a well deserved title win, well done to all involved players , coaches and families who did themselves and their club proud.Under 15 Hurling
A spirited second half display from our Under 15’s against Ballygunner on Wednesday last in their Bord na nOg final wasn’t enough to claw back the deficit from the first half, well done to the players on reaching the final from a strong group and we look forward to next year.Under 12 Hurling
A great week of hurling for our juveniles finished on Friday with our Under 12 team winning the City League title after a classic with local rivals Roanmore. The game ebbed and flowed throughout with both teams leaving everything on the pitch. At the end, it was only the minimum that separated the sides when Dean Griffin scored a fantastic point to decide the even affair.
Well done to coaches, parents and players from both clubs for their contribution to a great contest.
Final score: Cnoc Sion 2-08 Roanmore 3-04.
All Ireland
Tough luck to the Waterford hurlers as another great year ended in Croke Park on Saturday against Limerick, all involved were a credit to their clubs and their county and we look forward to 2022 with confidence.Camogie
