John Keane Tournament
An Aaron English inspired Ulster, unbeaten throughout the tournament up to the final, were heartbreakingly pipped at the post in the last game by a determined onslaught and comeback from Ulster, spearheaded by captain Luke Murphy, Tommy Caulfield and Dylan Tubbritt.
Huge thanks to the parents for all their support of all teams today. Thanks too to our young umpires Callum, Adam, Alex, Alex and Alfie and to all our coaches.
Thanks to the members of our senior hurling team who turned up to support all the boys and girls who supported them so well in Walsh Park on Saturday.
Special word of thanks to the piper, John Stone, for bringing a real sense of occasion to the day with his national anthem and pre match parade.
As always thank you to the Keane family who were on hand to help us commemorate the extraordinary life and legacy of their Dad and Grandad, the Unconquerable John Keane.
And finally, a huge thanks to our own Anthony and Sonia of the Wild Willow Cafe who generously sponsored the event, ensuring goodie bags and sliotars for every child. We hugely appreciate it and would simply ask that members reciprocate the support whenever they can by enjoying their excellent coffee and treats .
The medals for both tournaments will be presented at our annual presentation night before Christmas.
