Mount Sion GAA Notes
Happy Christmas
A very Happy Christmas to all our members and friends from Mount Sion GAA Club, it has been a difficult year for everyone with more uncertainty on the way and we look forward to seeing you all again in 2022!
Junior Football
The Junior Footballers were in action on Saturday last as they made the trip to Borrisoleigh to take on Tipperary champions Ballina with a place in the Munster final at stake, a third minute save from Richie Roche and an Evan Curran goal were the highlights for Sion as they came up against a dogged defence , half time score Cnoc Sion 1-02 Ballina 0-09, the second half was more of the same with an Ian O’Regan goal keeping Sion’s slim hopes alive but ultimately Ballina proved too strong and finished out the game winning 0-16 to 2-05, well done to all involved for bringing us on the journey with the big ball this year.12 Draws of Christmas
