Mount Sion GAA Club Notes

Munster Championship

It’s a big day for Waterford hurling next week with the first Munster Championship game in three years taking place in Walsh Park against Tipperary, best of luck to all involved, unfortunately tickets are at a premium and well done to our members who were lucky enough to have their name drawn out of the hat, we expect a big day in the club on Sunday and if anybody can help out with stewarding etc please contact Seamie or Peter.

Under 8 Blitz

Our Under 8’s took part in a Gaelic Football blitz in the WIT Arena in Carriganore on Saturday morning last, the boys had great fun loving every minute of it playing against some very good footballing clubs. Well done to all involved and thanks to Kilrossanty, The Nire/Fourmilewater, ,Abbeyside/Ballinacourty and Gaultier.

Healthy Club

Wednesday nights are still a hive of activity in the club as both Men on the Move and Gaelic 4 mothers continue in conjunction with Waterford Sports Partnership, places still available, please contact Michael Power or Tina Gleeson.

Membership

Club Membership for 2022 is now due and you can pay for your membership/registration on the club force website Clubforce , alternatively it can be paid in cash at the Club Bar or to the lead coach for each group.

Camogie

Camogie training days/time,

Under 4-6’s – Saturday mornings with the Cúl blues academy.
Under 7-8s’ & 9-10’s – Mondays from 6-7pm in the alley and all weather.
Under 12’s – Mondays from 7:15 to 8.15pm in the alley and the all weather.
Under 13’s – Wednesdays from 7-8.30pm in the alley and the all weather.

Under 15’s – Tuesdays from 6-7pm in the alley and the all weather.
Please bring hurleys and helmets.
New girls always welcome.

Cul Blues

Cúl Blues Academy for 4-6 boys and girls continues Saturday in the club. New boys and girls always welcome.
Please take note of the arrangements for different age groups,
Under 4’s ( kids born 2018 ) 10-10:45 ball alley

Under 5’s ( kids born 2017)

Hurleys & helmets please (these can be provided for training if child hasn’t got any)
Wild willow cafe will also be on site.

Juvenile Training

 Juvenile training has returned on Saturday mornings, Fun Hurling Coaching for our under 7’s and 8’s boys group is at 11am (those born in 2015 and 2014), followed by our under 9’s and 10’s at 12pm (those born in 2013 and 2012).
