Mount Sion GAA Club Notes

Juvenile Club

The club is a hive of activity once more on Saturday mornings, this week alone we had the return of the Cup Blues Academy, Under 7 Football, and an Under 8 blitz along with Under 9 training, huge credit is due to all the coaches and volunteers who put in all the hard work week in week out to ensure the best experience for our young players and their families, new players always welcome.

National Club Draw

Deadline to buy tickets for The National Club Draw is this Friday April 29th, this is a national draw with all monies raised by clubs going back into those clubs, tickets can be bought on the Mount Sion Clubforce App National Draw.

Camogie

Well done to our Under 12 girls who participated in a blitz in Portlaw on Sunday morning, fantastic effort by all involved, also a huge well done to our Under 12 girl Áine Flynn who was picked to play for Waterford in the primary game at the Senior Camogie match on Sunday also, we are all very proud of you here in Mount Sion.

Camogie training days/time,

Under 4-6’s – Saturday mornings with the Cúl blues academy.
Under 7-8s’ & 9-10’s – Mondays from 6-7pm in the alley and all weather.
Under 12’s – Mondays from 7:15 to 8.15pm in the alley and the all weather.
Under 13’s – Wednesdays from 7-8.30pm in the alley and the all weather.

Under 15’s – Tuesdays from 6-7pm in the alley and the all weather.
Please bring hurleys and helmets.
New girls always welcome.

Deise Draw

The first Deise Draw of 2022 is due to start on Wednesday May 18th, tickets are available now from our co-ordinator Kenny Stafford 087 6161222 and can also be got from behind the bar.

Membership

Club Membership for 2022 is now due and you can pay for your membership/registration on the club force website Clubforce , alternatively it can be paid in cash at the Club Bar or to the lead coach for each group.

Juvenile Training

Juvenile training has returned on Saturday mornings, Fun Hurling Coaching for our under 7’s and 8’s boys group is at 11am (those born in 2015 and 2014), followed by our under 9’s and 10’s at 12pm (those born in 2013 and 2012).
