Mount Sion GAA Club Notes

Under 13 Hurling

The Under 13’s got their Division 1 campaign off to a good start in a hotly contested match in the club against Roanmore, a large crowd saw Sion overcome their neighbours on a scoreline of 4-09 to 3-09, well done to all involved.

Minor Hurling

Two wins out of two for the Minors in the space of a week as they started out the League ahead of next month’s Championship, good results against St Saviours at home and Ferrybank see them well placed in the table, next game is up against Clan Na Gael in the club on Tuesday night.

Wedding Bells

Congratulations to Jessica Gleeson and partner Laura on their recent wedding on Saturday last, best wishes for all the years ahead from everyone in the club!

Under 13 Hurling V Stradbally in Stradbally at 7pm

Under 12 Hurling V Michael MacCraith in Mount Sion at 6-30pm.

 

Camogie

The Under 12 girls played Ballyduff Upper in the Championship last Thursday winning a well contested game, thanks to everyone who came up to see the girls, well done to all involved.
Best of luck to the Waterford Senior camogie girls on Saturday from all in Mount Sion club.

Below are the camogie training days/time.
4-6s – Saturday mornings with the Cúl blue academy.
7-8s + 9-10s – Mondays from 6-7pm in the alley and all weather.
12s – Mondays from 7:15 to 8.15pm in the alley and the all weather.
13s – Wednesdays from 7-8.30pm in the alley and the all weather.

Under 15s – Tuesdays from 6-7pm in the alley and the all weather.
Please bring hurleys and helmets.
New girls always welcome.

Deise Draw

Tickets are still available for the remaining draws from all the usual outlets, please support if possible.

Cul Blues

Cúl Blues Academy for 4-6 boys and girls continues Saturday in the club. New boys and girls always welcome.
Please take note of the arrangements for different age groups,

Under 6’s ( kids born 2016)

Hurleys & helmets please (these can be provided for training if child hasn’t got any)
Wild willow cafe will also be on site.

Juvenile Training

 Juvenile training has returned on Saturday mornings, Fun Hurling Coaching for our under 7’s and 8’s boys group is at 11am (those born in 2015 and 2014), followed by our under 9’s and 10’s at 12pm (those born in 2013 and 2012).
