Mount Sion GAA Club Notes

 

Minor Hurling

The Minors stared their 2022 Championship campaign on Wednesday evening against Ballygunner in Ballygunner, while the result might not have gone their way it was heartening to see such a good turnout from the club to support Ned and his young charges, next game is against De La Salle this Thursday in Gracedieu and we look forward to seeing a good crowd there again.

Win a House Draw

Anybody considering buying a Win A House in Dungarvan ticket we’d ask to please buy from the club. We have to sell at least 60 tickets from the club, if anyone buys online please contact Peter or Owen so the ticket will be included in our allocation, if anyone wants a ticket please let Peter or Owen know or pay behind the Bar (Receipt will be issued and the Ticket will follow thereafter)

Camogie

Huge well done to our Under 12 girls who had a fantastic win over Abbeyside on Thursday night last,
Ballyduff and Butlerstown are coming in to Mount Sion on Monday at 6.30pm for a mini blitz.
The Under 12 B team play Portlaw in Portlaw on Monday at 7pm
Under 14 Championship third round against Brickey Rangers on Thursday, 7pm in Brickeys, best of luck to all involved.

Below are the camogie training days/time.

Under 4-6’s – Saturday mornings with the Cúl blue academy.
Under 7-8’s + 9-10’s – Mondays from 6-7pm in the alley and all weather.
Under 12’s – Mondays from 7:15 to 8.15pm in the alley and the all weather.
Under 13’s – Wednesdays from 7-8.30pm in the alley and the all weather.

Under 15’s – Tuesdays from 6-7pm in the alley and the all weather.
Please bring hurleys and helmets.
New girls always welcome.

Cul Blues

Cúl Blues Academy for 4-6 boys and girls continues Saturday in the club. New boys and girls always welcome.
Please take note of the arrangements for different age groups,
Under 4’s ( kids born 2018 ) 10-10:45 ball alley
no equipment needed
Under 5’s ( kids born 2017)
10-11 Astro turf
 no equipment needed
Under 6’s ( kids born 2016)
10-11 Astro turf
Hurleys & helmets please (these can be provided for training if child hasn’t got any)
Wild willow cafe will also be on site.

Juvenile Training

 Juvenile training has returned on Saturday mornings, Fun Hurling Coaching for our under 7’s and 8’s boys group is at 11am (those born in 2015 and 2014), followed by our under 9’s and 10’s at 12pm (those born in 2013 and 2012).
