Mount Sion GAA Club Notes
90th Anniversary Dinner Dance
It was another Mount Sion night for the ages on Saturday last as we got together in the Tower Hotel to celebrate our ninety years in existence, it was great to see so many Mount Sion people together in the one place and the talk is already about the big Centenerary celebrations in ten years time! Special thanks to the committee who did such a good job getting the night organised and everything running smoothly, a lot of work went on behind the scenes to ensure it all went to plan.Camogie
Huge well done to our Under 8 girls who played their last blitz of the season in Carriganore on Saturday. Both teams had fantastic wins and have shown great progress in all their games, a big shoutout to their amazing coaches who put in stellar work with the girls all year. As a treat there is no training on Monday, instead we are having a Halloween party between 6-7 in the club hall.Congratulations to our Under 13 girls who had a huge win on Sunday morning against Cappoquin, they now qualify for the semi final, dates and times to be decided.
Also our Under 15 girls have made it to a county final, this will take place on Sunday 13th of November at 2pm. Venue to be confirmed.
Get well soon to our U14/15 girl Jamie Stafford who sustained a very nasty ear injury on Thursday last during school training. We wish her a speedy recovery and hopefully she will be back on the pitch ASAP

Condolences
Our sincere sympathies go to the Keane family of Mount Sion Avenue on the death of their mother Bridie who was pre deceased by her husband Tommy, a great club hurler and holder of eight senior championship medals. Bridie herself was a lifelong club supporter and a member of the Ladies Committee, organising the opening of the first Club Social Centre. To Peggy, Anne and Eamonn and their extended families we extend our sympathies.
Fixture
Under 14 Football V Naomh Brid in Stradbally at 7-30pm.Pinergy
Our main sponsor Pinergy have some great deals for switching up on their website for club members, at this time of the year everyone is conscious of their energy bills and with energy you can track your daily usage, as always we ask that our members support our sponsors where possible.Last Man Standing
Managerless Aston Villa saved a few players this week as they rattled four past Brentford in a big turn up for the books, the other games were bit less predictable with more players bowing out and the end might be in sight before the Premier League breaks up for the World Cup, don’t forget for those left to get your teams into Owen by 7pm on Thursday.Win A House Draw
Tickets are still available for the Win A House Draw, there are some great prizes on offer with everything raised going to the Waterford Senior hurlers, if you get your ticket online please let Owen or Peter know so it can go down as a club ticket.
