Christmas Greetings

A very Happy Christmas from Mount Sion GAA to all our members, supporters and everyone connected with the club, also a big thank you to all our sponsors over the year who despite difficult conditions still helped out very generously, we look forward to another good year in 2023 both on and off the pitch, Cnoc Sion Abu!

12 Draws of Christmas

We had another very successful 12 Draws of Christmas fundraiser this year with all proceeds going back into the Hurling and Football club, a big thanks to our Chairman Seamie for organising everything and going up very day to do the draw, well done to all our winners Molly Walsh, Derek Regan, Frank Power, Brendan Broderick, Heidi Culleton, Kate Atkins, Mary O’Connor, Pat Kelly Jnr, Jason Quirke, Sean Walsh, Craig Sauvage and Margaret Brophy.

Under 20 Hurling

Unfortunately the Under 20 match on Thursday last had to be abandoned with 15 minutes to go due to fog, following the abandonment the club officers met and felt that given the score at the time Mount Sion will not request to play the replay and reward the game to Ballygunner.

Condolences

Deepest sympathies especially at this time of the year to one of our Juvenile coaches Shane Elliott on the sad passing of his father John during the week, to Shane and the extended Elliott family condolences from Mount Sion GAA Club, ar Dheis go raibh a anam.

Stephens Day Football

Our Annual ‘Auld Lads v Youngfellas’ football match will take place on St Stephens Day at 11am. The curtain raiser will be our Juvenile match for 13-17 yr olds starting at 10am, both games will take place on the Astro Turf in the club. This is a great Christmas club tradition going for many years, for more info please contact Willy or Bomb Power.

Win A House Draw

Tickets can still be got online for the Win A House in Dungarvan draw, they make a great last minute stocking filler, all proceeds go to the Waterford Senior Hurlers fund and there are some great prizes on offer in addition to the main prize.
