Mount Sion GAA Club Notes

Senior Championship

Though it might still be early in the year the draw for the 2023 Senior Championship was made during the week, Sion were drawn in Group B with two western teams, Fourmilewater and Tallow, times date and venues to be confirmed in the near future.

Last Man Standing

Week 2 of Last Man Standing and a lot of draws saw a number of players exit the competition, check out the updated table on the website and don’t forget  to have your team in with Savo by 7pm on Thursday night.

Condolences

Deepest sympathies from Mount Sion GAA Club to Sonya Kirwan on the passing of her mother Bernie Barnes during the week, our thoughts are with Sonya, Anthony, Alan, Jack and the extended family at this sad time, ar Dheis de go raibh a h-anam.

Cul Blues

Our Cul Blues returned this Saturday and a great day was had by all involved, thanks to everyone who helped on the morning and we’ll see everyone again next week.

Mount Sion Camogie return dates

Under 7’s/Under 8’s – Start back on Mondays from the 6th of March from 6pm – 7pm on the astro and all weather pitch.

Under 10’s – Start back on Mondays from the 6th of March from 6pm – 7pm on the astro and all weather pitch.

Under 12’s – Start back on Mondays from the 20th of February from 7pm to 8pm on the all weather.

Under 13’s/Under 14’s – Start back on Wednesdays from the 22nd of February from 8pm – 9pm on the astro and all weather.

Under 16’s- Start back Thursdays from the 9th of February from 6:15pm to 7:15pm in Mount Sion Primary school all weather pitch.

It’s that time of year once again for membership renewal, there are a number of different options, please contact club registrar Paul Galgey for more details, our club development plan is still ongoing and we’d ask everyone if possible to sign up as this enables the club to progress our long term vision for the future, contact Peter Walsh for details.
