Golf Classic

The 2023 Mount Sion Golf Classic took place on Friday and Saturday last and it was a great success, full list of winners can be seen on our social media pages,

A special thanks to our organisers of the event Kenny Stafford and Kevin Ryan and everyone who helped out on both days, a big shout out to our main sponsors Assa Abloy and to all the following who also kindly sponsored us.

Last Man Standing

We finally a winner (or winners) in this year’s Last Man Standing competition! At the time of going to press we’re waiting on the result of the Newcastle / Leicester game on Monday night, if Newcastle win we will have one winner, if they lose or draw it will be shared among the last remaining six players, thanks to everyone who took part in the competition and to Savo for all his hard work organising it, we’ll have another one up and running for the 2023/24 season in August.

 

Deise Draw

The first Deise Draw of 2023 takes place  this Tuesday May 22nd. The draw will remain at €90 per annum (€15 per month) with the club retaining 70% so once again it will be our biggest fundraiser this year. Fully paid up members members will automatically get a ticket to all draws but if anyone is in a position to purchase or sell extra tickets please get in touch with coordinator Kenny Stafford on 0876161222.

Camogie

Below are the camogie training days/time.

Under 4-6’s, – Saturday mornings with the Cúl blues academy.
Under 7-8’s & 9-10s – Mondays from 6-7pm in the alley and all weather.
Under 10’s – Fridays 6-7 in the astro
Under 12’s – Mondays from 7:15 to 8.15pm in the alley and the all weather.
Under 13’s – Wednesdays from 7-8.30pm in the alley and the all weather.

Under 15’s – Tuesdays from 6-7pm in the alley and the all weather.
Please bring hurleys and helmets.

Congratulations to our Under 14 girls who snatched a win in the dying minutes of their game against Portlaw on Thursday night, fantastic effort by all involved.
Our Under 8 & Under 10 girls hosted their county blitz on Saturday morning, we welcomed St Anne’s, Roanmore, Gaultier & Portlaw and great fun was had, it was a first time blitz for some of our girls and they all hurled fantastically.
Best of luck to our Under 12 girls who play St Mollerans on Thursday evening in Carrickbeg at 6.30pm. All support welcome.
