Minor Hurlers
Our Fairway Coaches sponsored Minors continued their good Championship start with another victory against Passage in the club on Wednesday night last, Passage ran the lads close all through the game and never gave up bringing the game to two points before the final whistle, Ballyduff Upper are the visitors to the club this coming Wednesday as Ned and his team hope to continue their good run.Deise Draw
July’s Deise Draw took place during the week and unfortunately we had no winners, next months draw takes place on August 10th and tickets are available from all the usual sources.Vice President Roles
At the June Executive Meeting it was decided to add to our current Vice President role and the following people were chosen to honour many many years of on-going time and commitment given to the club. We are delighted Br Peadar Gleeson, Jim Greene, Betty Forristal and Garry Cunningham have all accepted roles as Honorary Vice Presidents of Mount Sion GAA.Birthday Greetings
Happy 60th Birthday during the week to one of our most committed members and supporter of the club Maria Roche, Maria and her family are an integral part of the club and a big celebration was had to honour the occasion!Golden Goal
We are running a golden goal in the All Ireland Hurling Final in aid of the Juvenile Club to help purchase equipment, all monies raised will benefit the future hurlers of Mount Sion. €10 entry with prize of €300. You can enter by sending money via Revolut to Savo or by leaving money and name at the bar. A Draw will take place to decide each minute to be allocated for each entry.Closing date for entry is Friday 21st July.
There will be 72 places. From minute zero to 70 and a “no goal”.

Family Fun Day
The annual Family Fun Day has been moved to Saturday August 12th, this was a massive success last year and hopefully this year will be bigger and better, looking forward to seeing everyone up there!Summer Camp
Mount Sion Hurling and Camogie camp takes place from August 16th to 18th, for boys and girls born in 2011-2017, €30, please contact Michael Power to book a place.Camogie
Below are the camogie training days/time.Under 4-6’s, – Saturday mornings with the Cúl blues academy.
Under 7-8’s & 9-10s – Mondays from 6-7pm in the alley and all weather.
Under 10’s – Fridays 6-7 in the astro
Under 12’s – Mondays from 7:15 to 8.15pm in the alley and the all weather.
Under 13’s – Wednesdays from 7-8.30pm in the alley and the all weather.
Under 15’s – Tuesdays from 6-7pm in the alley and the all weather.
Please bring hurleys and helmets.
