Senior Hurling Championship

The Seniors took on Roanmore in SETU Arena on Sunday last in the quarter final of the Championship with a semi final berth at stake for the winners,a tough game ensued with Roanmore making all the early running with Sion just unable to catch them and despite a late rally Roanmore ran out victorious in the end to earn a semi final place, tough luck lads.

Minor Hurling

Our Fairway Coaches sponsored Minors are through to the County Final after an excellent victory over Passage under the lights in Carriganore on Wednesday last, this team have played out of their skins this year and are well deserving of their place in the final, the game against Ballygunner takes place in SETU Arena again on Friday evening with an 8pm throw in, tickets are available at Minor Final, best of luck to everyone involved with the team.

Junior A Hurling

In a good week for the club the Junior A’s also reached the County Final on Friday last, a 0-22 to 1-12 win over Ballydurn in Tramore, a great result over a team who have had the better hand over them over the last few years, check social media for details of the final.

Sonny Walsh Tournament

Huge congratulations five of our players, Donnacha Meaney, Donnacha Flannery, Sam O’Regan, James McGrath and Sam McGrath, who were all part all part of the Waterford Under 14 team which won the Sonny Walsh tournament on Saturday last, an excellent achievement from everyone involved.

Camogie

Danny Bowe Tournament

This Saturday coming September 2nd, our annual Danny Bowe tournament takes place in the club.

We are immensely proud of this day and everything it represents to Danny’s family and our club.

Danny was a founding member of the Ardkeen camogie club, who trained in Mount Sion, who following in Danny’s footsteps formed their own camogie club in 2017, .

He left a legacy that continues with all the young girls playing in his club colours.

This is one of the biggest days in our Camogie club’s calendar and we are looking forward to seeing everyone up there on the day.
