Well done to our Junior footballers on a hard fought win today in Tramore.
The match was played in terrible conditions. Mount Sion raced into an early two goal lead courtesy of Josh Fanning and Sean Darmody, credit however to Gaultier who staged a spirited comeback scoring 1-07 without reply.

Aided by a very strong wind in the second half Sion started the half slowly. Scores were very hard to come by with both teams putting in a huge shift. A super goal by Ivan Sinnott midway through the half gave the Monastery a big lift, followed shortly by a wonder point from Sean Darmody to nudge Smiley’s troops ahead.
As conditions worsened passes went awry but both teams kept going to the end, a late goal by our captain and Junior Footballer of the year Josh Fanning sealed victory Mount Sion.
This was a very close game and the final score flattered us.
A huge credit to both teams and best wishes to Gaultier for the coming year.
Well done to the man in the middle Alan Kissane.
Special mention to our Manager Gallo, Coach John Flynn and S&C’s, Smiley and Willy.

If you lose your life in the very first week you have the option to re-enter for €5, after that you are out if you lose another life.
