Gaelic Football
Following the conclusion of the Hurling Championship all eyes turn to our football teams with the Intermediates first back in action on Friday last as they took on Kilmacthomas in Fenor, a polished performance saw the lads run out winners on a scoreline of 0-14 to 1-05, well done to all involved, our Junior B’s weren’t as fortunate on Saturday when they were well beaten by a strong Roanmore team in Cleaboy.Under 12 Football
Well done to our Under 12 Gaelic Football team who won their final against an excellent An Ghaeltacht team in Stradbally on Saturday..Well done to both sets of players on a sporting game, thanks to the coaches for all the time and effort they give to our boys and to the parents for their continued help and support..
The boys will swap the big ball for the small ball next Saturday 14th September when they play St Marys in the Under-12 Hurling Finals Day in Walsh Park at 10am.
New Baby
Congratulations from everyone in the club to Tara and Craig Sauvage on the birth of their beautiful baby girl Éabha last week, a sister for Erin great excitement all round!Camogie
There was a fantastic display of camogie in Walsh Park on Sunday when our Under 16 girls won their county final against Portlaw, everything was left on the pitch by both sides with brilliant displays all around the pitch. Huge congratulations to coaches and every single one of the team today, we are all so proud of each and every one of you.Well done to our Under 8 and Under 10 girls who participated in the Ballyduff Lower blitz on Saturday morning. It was a fantastic display by all clubs involved, huge thanks to Ballyduff for such a fabulous day and congratulations on 120 years, enjoy the celebrations.
John Keane and Mary Meade Tournaments
Saturday 14th July we celebrate two great Cnoc Sion people John Keane and Mary Meade with our Juvenile tournaments in their honour, action starts at 11am all are welcome to attend.
Deise Draw
The Deise Draw continues in September with three more draws left , thanks to everyone who bought tickets and they can still be bought for the remaining draws from all the usual sources.Cul Blues
