Mount Sion GAA Club Notes

Senior League

It was another good win for our Seniors in the league on Thursday evening when they were two point winners over Ballygunner in Ballygunner, a good start for Jamie and his team as they prepare for the Championship later in the year.

Wedding Bells

Huge congratulations to Bryan “Ned” Power and Cora Fortune who were married on Friday last, best wishes to the happy couple from everyone in Mount Sion.

Under 12/13

 

Our Under 12 and 13 hurlers played Ballygunner (Under 12) Friday night and De la Salle (u13) in the city league on Sunday morning. Both teams had fantastic games and showed real determination and physically worked really hard. Some very good hurling by all the boys in both and our hurlers are now up and running for 2025.

Special thanks to Halley Murphy architects who have sponsored training tops, shorts and socks for the lads this year, many thanks for all the continued support.

Parade Award

We were thrilled to receive a special commendation award for this years St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
Huge thanks to everyone involved on the day. We had massive numbers of boys and girls again this year and it was a fantastic sight to see.
Six members of the club attended a prize giving ceremony hosted by Mayor of Waterford City and County Jason Murphy in the Garden Room of the Waterford Museum. It was a very proud day for Mount Sion.

Cul Blues

 Cul Blues continues on Saturdays and we continue to have a great turnout, playground and Wild Willow on site , new players always welcome, please contact Michael Power.
