Mount Sion GAA Club Notes

Munster Minor Hurling

Tough luck to the Waterford Minors on Friday last as they gave their all to just go down by two points to Cork in the Munster Final, the club is well represented on both the panel and the coaching staff, best wishes as they go into the qualifiers.

Anti Racism Course

The club in conjunction with Mount Sion Primary School were involved during the week in the “Give the red card to racism” initiative for second and third class students , thanks to Marton who facilitated the course and to our two school coaches who helped out with the hurling part of the course.

Senior Fixtures

The Senior Championship group games for 2025 are as follows

Round One July 12th V Passage Walsh Park 2-30pm

Round Two July 19th V Dungarvan Fraher Field 6pm

Round Three July 25th V Ferrybank Walsh Park 7-30pm

Round Four August 2nd V Lismore Fraher Field 7pm

Round Five August 10th V Fourmilewater Carrickbeg 2pm.

Paddy Sheridan Tournament

The Paddy Sheridan Under 11 Festival of Hurling takes place on Sunday June 1st from 11am, we welcome Lismore, An Gaeltacht, Outlart de Ballagh, St Marys Clonmel to the club to honour one of our own who gave so much over the ears to juvenile hurling in the club, if anyone can help out on the day in any way possible it would be much appreciated , please contact Michael Power.

Under 13 Skills Champions

Well done to our Under 13 panel who emerged victorious in the Skills Challenge in SETU during the week, some great skills on display from the lads who now go on to the Munster Final !

Deise Draw

Tickets for this years Deise Draw are on sale from all the usual sources, as always we’re grateful for the amount of tickets sold by the club and with the developments taking place this year it is a vital source of income.

 

Cul Blues

 Cul Blues continues on Saturdays and we continue to have a great turnout, playground and Wild Willow on site, new players always welcome, please contact Michael Power.
