Mount Sion GAA Club News
Minor Football
The Barry Murphy Sponsored Minor Footballers last Sunday played their first home game of the championship against Ferrybank. Austin Gleeson opened the scoring for Sion with a finely taken free with Shane Forristal adding a second. Ferrybank finally got off the mark with a point and added a second moments later. Darren Finn & Joey Sinnott finished the scoring with a point each to lead at the break by 4 points. The second half started the same as the first with Austin Gleeson slotting over a free. Ferrybank were awarded a dubious penalty with which they converted beating Shane Coleman in the goal. Ferrybank added two more points but points from Joey Sinnott and Ben Walsh ensured the win by the minimum margin. Final Score Mount Sion 0-9 to Ferrybank 1-5. Next Saturday the minors will play Erins Own in Erins Own, throw in at 3pm. Please get up and support the lads!

Thanks to all the parents who made sandwiches.Under 11

They played against De La Salle and Ballygunner in two of the games and against Roanmore and Clonea. We had great performances in all games, with some great scores by all the lads.
