Mount Sion GAA Club Notes
Senior League
It was a game to forget in the Senior league on Sunday morning last in Passage as a young team never quite got to grips with the game as Passage dominated from start to finish, in the bright sunshine the hosts playing with the breeze got into an early lead while Sion found it hard to get their scores in, straight from the restart Passage found the back of the net effectively ending the game as contest, Sion kept trying but were unable to get back in the game which Passage finished comfortably winning on a scoreline of 2-24 to 0-14.Junior Hurling
The two Junior teams were in action over the weekend with good results from both games, on Friday the Junior B’s took on Kilmacthomas in the club, good performances all round with veteran Jess Kehoe holding firm in the back line and Michael Frisby pulling the strings up front it was enough to keep the visitors at bay, two points late on from the impressive Cathair Brogan helped seal a four point victory final score 0-17 to 1-10, the Junior A’s kept up their 100% record with a 1-11 to 0-06 victory over Roanmore in Walsh Park on Saturday evening.Camogie
It’s been a busy week for our Camogie girls, the u12s took part in a blitz in Dungarvan last week, drawing one and barely losing out in the other two, great team effort from everyone and their coaches Carolyne Murphy and Nicola Kennedy, girls were Caitlin Cox, Ashley Cummins, Caoimhe Connery, Hannah Carey, Kayla Cashman, Ava Goodison-Flynn, Kayleigh McGrath, Rhea Murtagh-Stafford , Ann Kennedy, Kayleigh O’Connor, Abbie O’Meara and Sophie Walsh.
