Mount Sion GAA Club Notes

Camogie

Our Under 8’s played in the Butlerstown blitz on Saturday 20th, a great day for all and huge thanks to Moira Dunphy and Butlerstown GAA for having us, teams were Beth Ryan, Tess Roberts, Mollie Ryan, Casey Murtagh Stafford, Bella Keogh, Alana Kelly Robinson, Áine Flynn, Áine Hayes, Hannah Cadogan, Grace Dundon, Leah Coughlan Mullins, Romey Carroll, Zara O’Byrne, Lily May Browne, Kayla Walsh Donnelly, Sophie Flynn, Sophie Tubbritt, Lilly Ellen Costello, Annabelle Keyes, Sarah Farrell & Kayla Power.

Training for Under 8’s on Mondays in Carrickpherish Hall in Gracedieu 6-7pm
€2 per child or €3 per family

Training for Under 12’s on Tuesdays in Presentation School Hall 6-7pm and Saturday 12-1pm in the AstroTurf in Mount Sion club grounds

We are placing an order for our new camogie half zips on Friday 26th of October.. Adult sizes are €50 and €40 for kids. If anyone wants to order them contact the Mount Sion camogie page please.

Entertainment

Tina has some big events lined for the Bank Holiday weekend in the club, for the younger ones it’s Mount Sion’s Got Talent for Kids between 6 and 9 and for the adults it’s a spooky Halloween Fancy dress party with a blue and white theme starting from 9 to late, more info from Tina or behind the bar and see the facebook page for details.

Halloween Summer Camp

Our own Austin Gleeson is running a spooktacular Halloween Hurling camp in the club from Wednesday 31st October to Friday November 2nd, places are limited and are filling up fast, for more details contact aussiehurlingcamp@gmail.com

Shinty

Well done to Stephen Roche who had the honour of representing his country in the Shinty international in Scotland on Saturday, congratulations on this marvellous achievement from everyone in Mount Sion.

Under 21

With the season now nearly over the only Championship left to play in hurling is the Under 21’s , we have been drawn against Portlaw/Ballyduff in the q/f with the winners playing Ballygunner, details of fixtures will be posted as soon as they become available.

Club Mass

The annual Club Mass for deceased members of Mount Sion takes place in the Edmund Rice Chapel on Thursday November 29th at 8pm, all are welcome.

Junior Football V Dunhill on Tuesday October 23rd at 8pm .

 

Mount Sion Clubhouse

Our club house is the perfect venue for all your needs. If you have a family event coming up we can cater for all size parties from small private events to large gatherings, we have a spacious function room with private bar available for hire for all occasions including Birthdays, Christenings, Weddings, Confirmations, Communions, etc, please contact our Bar Manager Michael Ryan for more information on 051-372648 or call up and see him
