Annual General Meeting
The first AGM in two years took place on Sunday November 28th, the meeting was conducted adhering to all Covid protocols, a tough year off the pitch was discussed with many positive contributions coming from the floor, executive committee for the 2022 are as follows-Life President – Phil Fanning

Tributes were paid to Kenny Stafford who is stepping away due to other commitments, Kenny’s fundraising especially over the past two years has been absolutely crucial to the running of the club.
The Player of the year awards were then presented, these awards were preceded by some nice words from the chairman about Martin O’Grady and Tony Forristal, two great clubmen after whom the awards are namedPlayers of the Year 2020

Presentation night for our juvenile Hurling and Camogie players was held on Friday last in the club, special thanks to senior captain Martin O’ Neill and to Waterford star Stephen Bennett who kindly showed up at short notice to help with the prize giving, well done to all and to the coaches and mentors who put in so much hard work through the year to get these players to where they are now, all the photos can be viewed in the gallery on the website!Christmas Foodbank
Thanks to everyone who contributed to the Foodbank collection in association with Gaultier on Saturday morning, Waterford Foodbank will assemble and distribute hampers from food donations received on drop off days at both clubs, the following items can be acceptedBiscuits, Cakes, Mince Pies, Selection Boxes, Christmas Cakes, Christmas Puddings, Tea/Coffee, Crisps, Minerals, and Treats/Sweets, for anyone who missed this Saturday Michael and the team will be at the club again Saturday December 4th from 12-3pm.Camogie
Following our Camogie AGM recently Kate Atkins was appointed Chairperson taking over from Carolyne Murphy who has held the position since the formation of the camogie club four years ago, those four years have seen huge developments and Carolyne was instrumental in that success, we wish Carolyne all the best from everyone in Mount Sion and welcome Kate into the role as she continues on the great work.
