Mount Sion GAA Club Notes

National Hurling League

Huge congratulations to all involved in Waterford’s National Hurling League victory over Cork on Saturday last, all eyes are on the Championship now with the first game in two weeks time against Tipperary in Walsh Park, a big day is being planned in the club for that day details to follow soon.

Fixtures

Great to have some fixtures for the coming week-

Saturday

All County Senior Hurling League v Lismore in Mount Sion at 4pm

Sunday

Junior Hurling County League v Shamrocks in Mount Sion at 12pm.

 

Membership

Club Membership for 2022 is now due and you can pay for your membership/registration on the club force website Clubforce , alternatively it can be paid in cash at the Club Bar or to the lead coach for each group.

Same rates as 2021 apply, please contact Club Registrar Paul Galgey for more information.

 

Gaelic 4 Mothers

Our Gaelic 4 Mothers and others continued on Wednesday night and there was another good turnout on the night, places still available ,suitable for women of all ages abilities and fitness levels, all details on the poster, contact Tina Gleeson for details.

Camogie

 

Camogie training days/time,

Under 4-6’s – Saturday mornings with the Cúl blues academy.
Under 7-8s’ & 9-10’s – Mondays from 6-7pm in the alley and all weather.
Under 12’s – Mondays from 7:15 to 8.15pm in the alley and the all weather.
Under 13’s – Wednesdays from 7-8.30pm in the alley and the all weather.

Under 15’s – Tuesdays from 6-7pm in the alley and the all weather.
Please bring hurleys and helmets.
New girls always welcome.

Cul Blues

Cúl Blues Academy for 4-6 boys and girls continues Saturday in the club. New boys and girls always welcome.
Please take note of the arrangements for different age groups,
Under 4’s ( kids born 2018 ) 10-10:45 ball alley
no equipment needed
Under 5’s ( kids born 2017)
10-11 Astro turf
 no equipment needed
Under 6’s ( kids born 2016)
10-11 Astro turf
Hurleys & helmets please (these can be provided for training if child hasn’t got any)
Wild willow cafe will also be on site.

Juvenile Training

 Juvenile training has returned on Saturday mornings, Fun Hurling Coaching for our under 7’s and 8’s boys group is at 11am (those born in 2015 and 2014), followed by our under 9’s and 10’s at 12pm (those born in 2013 and 2012).
