Mount Sion GAA Club Notes

Junior Hurling

Our Junior hurlers played in a charity match on Saturday last against Littleton in aid of Tipperary Air Ambulance, well done to all involved and thanks to Moycarkey GAA and our hosts for the hospitality shown.

All County League

The All County League continued in the club on Tuesday last with a comprehensive victory over Lismore in the club, next game is Friday week away to Roanmore.

Camogie

Our Under 15 girls are Under 15c Feile Champions,a great game against Cappoquin saw them come out on top,  special mention must go to the main Under 15 coaches, Amy O Sullivan, Nicola Flannery, Carolyne Murphy and Ed Cullen. The work they’ve done with the girls over the last few years is fantastic, also just like to give a special word of thanks to Lenny Meaney and Brian Flannery for helping out on the day, it was really appreciated lads.

Camogie training days/time,

Under 4-6’s – Saturday mornings with the Cúl blues academy.
Under 7-8s’ & 9-10’s – Mondays from 6-7pm in the alley and all weather.
Under 12’s – Mondays from 7:15 to 8.15pm in the alley and the all weather.
Under 13’s – Wednesdays from 7-8.30pm in the alley and the all weather.

Under 15’s – Tuesdays from 6-7pm in the alley and the all weather.
Please bring hurleys and helmets.
New girls always welcome.

 

Cul Blues

Cúl Blues Academy for 4-6 boys and girls continues Saturday in the club. New boys and girls always welcome.
Please take note of the arrangements for different age groups,
Under 4’s ( kids born 2018 ) 10-10:45 ball alley
no equipment needed
Under 5’s ( kids born 2017)
10-11 Astro turf
 no equipment needed
Under 6’s ( kids born 2016)

Hurleys & helmets please (these can be provided for training if child hasn’t got any)
Wild willow cafe will also be on site.

Deise Draw

The first Deise Draw of 2022 is due to start on Wednesday May 18th, tickets are available now from our co-ordinator Kenny Stafford 087 6161222 and can also be got from behind the bar.

Juvenile Training

 Juvenile training has returned on Saturday mornings, Fun Hurling Coaching for our under 7’s and 8’s boys group is at 11am (those born in 2015 and 2014), followed by our under 9’s and 10’s at 12pm (those born in 2013 and 2012).
