Mount Sion GAA Club Notes

 

Senior League Final

The Senior League final takes place in Walsh Park on Friday June 24th against Ballygunner, throw in at 7pm, please note this is a ticket only game with tickets available on the Universe app, best of luck to John and the team from everyone in the club.

 

New Baby

Congratulations all round to Michael “Pugs” Power and partner Jenny on the recent birth of their daughter Annie, great excitement in the household and best wishes from everyone in Mount Sion.

 

Deise Draw

June’s Deise Draw took place in the club on Wednesday and we had a winner, congratulations to Peter Roche who won €500, thanks to everyone who bought tickets which can now be bought for the next draws.

 

Camogie

Our Under 12 girls played Butlerstown in a challenge match on Saturday morning, great performance from all the girls and tremendous work done by their coaches, the other Under 12 team will travel to An Rinn on Thursday evening for championship. Good luck to all involved.
Just a reminder to all parents that registration must be done ASAP and membership fees paid please

Below are the camogie training days/time.
4-6s – Saturday mornings with the Cúl blue academy.
7-8s + 9-10s – Mondays from 6-7pm in the alley and all weather.
12s – Mondays from 7:15 to 8.15pm in the alley and the all weather.
13s – Wednesdays from 7-8.30pm in the alley and the all weather.

Under 15s – Tuesdays from 6-7pm in the alley and the all weather.
Please bring hurleys and helmets.
New girls always welcome.

 

Fixtures

Monday

Under 15 Championship V De La Salle in Gracedieu at 7pm

This is their first championship game of the year and hope we get support up in Gracedieu like we had for the Feile.

Wednesday

Under 7 v Ferrybank in Mount Sion at 6pm

Under 13 Championship V De La Salle in Mount Sion at 7pm

Thursday

Under 12 Camogie Championship V An Rinn in Ring at 6-30pm

Friday

All County Hurling League Div 1 Final v Ballygunner in Walsh Park at 7:30pm. 

 

Saturday

Feile Hurling in UCD Complex, Belfield, Dublin.

– 3 games guaranteed

– Group Game 1 vs Kilmacud Crokes @ 11.50

– Group Game 2 vs Ballinstragh Gaels @ 12.40

– Semi-Final will be at 1:40pm or 2:15pm depending on group placing.

– If we are successful in the Semi-Final the Feile finals will be held in Abbotstown @3:30pm or 4pm again depending on placing.

Division 6 Final v Cappoquin in Fraher Field at 6pm (Ticket only).

 

 

Cul Blues

Cúl Blues Academy for 4-6 boys and girls continues Saturday in the club. New boys and girls always welcome.
Please take note of the arrangements for different age groups,
Under 4’s ( kids born 2018 ) 10-10:45 ball alley
no equipment needed
Under 5’s ( kids born 2017)
10-11 Astro turf
 no equipment needed
Under 6’s ( kids born 2016)

Hurleys & helmets please (these can be provided for training if child hasn’t got any)
Wild willow cafe will also be on site.

Juvenile Training

 Juvenile training has returned on Saturday mornings, Fun Hurling Coaching for our under 7’s and 8’s boys group is at 11am (those born in 2015 and 2014), followed by our under 9’s and 10’s at 12pm (those born in 2013 and 2012).
