Mount Sion GAA Club Notes

Minor Hurling

The Minors concluded the group stages of this years Championship with another good win against Fourmilewater in the club on Wednesday night last, having already qualified for the semis this hard working display will stand them in good stead for when they take on De La Salle in Walsh Park on Wednesday, this game is an all ticket affair and tickets can be bought on the Universe app Tickets, looking forward as always to seeing a good club support up there and best of luck to Ned and the lads.

Junior Hurling

It’s another busy week for our Junior A and B hurlers with semi finals down for decision in both grades, Junior A take on Ballygunner and Junior B face off against De La Salle, best of luck to all involved , keep an eye on social media for dates and times.

Senior Hurling

The Senior Hurling Quarter Final takes place also this weekend against Lismore in Fraher Field at 2-30pm on Sunday,  this is an all ticket game with tickets available on the Universe app, this game will also be shown live on TG4, best of luck to everyone involved.

Camogie

We are back training Monday from  6-7 for Under 8’s and Under 10’s. Our Under 14 team play An Rinn Thursday night at 6.30pm
Commiserations to our Under 12 team who were beaten in the county final on Sunday, this team have won every single game through the whole championship and were just unfortunate to fall short at the final hurdle. We all are all so proud of their achievements and how much the girls have progressed this year, fantastic effort from all their coaches too.

Finally a massive congratulations to Carolyne Murphy and partner Jason on the birth of their baby boy Cathal during the week, we’re all thrilled here in the camogie club for ye.

 

Juvenile Hurling

Our youngest hurlers have been having a great time of it recently, with many blitzes going on it’s been a very busy time for all involved, the second Cut Camp of the summer takes place also this week, thanks to everyone who gives their time and puts in the effort to help make hurling so enjoyable for our young players.

Last Man Standing

Last Man Standing continued this week with some very tricky results meaning some of players bowed out, updated tables can be viewed on the page on the website.
