Mount Sion GAA Club Notes

Under 12 Hurling

Well done to our Under 12 team on winning the Tom Cheasty Memorial Cup on Sunday, many thanks to

Ballyduff Lower for the invite and for the hospitality shown, well done to the boys, their parents and their dedicated coaches. Most of this young team will be in action next Saturday at the Paddy Sheridan Under 11 Tournament in the club.

Under 10 Hurling

Well done to our Under 10 hurlers who travelled to Bruff GAA Club today to participate in their Mini Munster Championship Hurling Festival on Saturday last, the boys were a credit to the club and their families and played some lovely hurling on the day, thanks to everyone who helped out on the day.

Under 14 Ladies Football

It was a big night on Tuesday for our Under 14 Ladies Gaelic footballers who played their very first game which ended in a win against An Sean Pobail, well done to all the girls and also to coaches Gemma and Kerry Ann for their hard work getting the girls ready for the game.

Paddy Sheridan Tournament

It’s a very special day in the club on Saturday next as we host the annual Paddy Sheridan Under 11 Tournament, everyone in Mount Sion has fond memories of Paddy and we were privileged to have him present at the tournament in the years before he passed away, tournament starts at 2 and promises to deliver a feast of hurling.

Mount Sion Summer Camp

We are running our annual Summer Camp this year on Wednesday 14th August for 3 days, time 10-2, cost €30, age from 7-12 years, contact Micheal power for details.

Deise Draw

This year’s Deise Draw starts in July, there are six draws in total with the club benefitting from every ticket sold, tickets are available from all the usual sources and from Club Co-ordinator Kenny Stafford.
