In 2015 the Under 16’s were determined to go well in the Championship and things went well with wins over Dungarvan and Ballygunner helping them to reach the semi final against Dungarvan in the club, in a tense game it took an Alan Kirwan goal to separate the sides and help them qualify for the final against old rivals De La Salle.
The final took place on the 18th October in Walsh Park and in a performance worthy of champions Sion dug deep and weathered a late opposition attack to win their first title at this level since 1998.
Congratulations to the players and the coaching staff who all worked so hard to win this Championship this year.
